"FONTANE SwINGT"

For the 200th birthday of Fontane (1818- 1898 a famous german writer), Andra was assigned to compose songs to his poems. 

Experimenting with the influences of pop, jazz, a- capella- singing and classical music this album creates a magical unity between words and vocal sounds.

Melodic songs paint intimate pictures full of atmosphere, which are sometimes gentle poetic, others question society in a subtle way or then again some reach into natures mythical realm. These songs are somehow in between Chanson, the German “Kunstlied” (art song) or Pop, with rhymed, written lyrics, which are very personal and would be worth the effort just reading them...the songs are labeled with plant- names, which were the keywords for the songs full of internal richness and are then again the soulful expression of a perfectly happy experienced childhood.

Slowness is the engine, to feel yourself, to feel everything, to become aware and to love yourself, to overcome recurrent patterns and blockages, to see ones self-worth and to sense the beauty and divineness in and around you.

Her relationship came to an end, as Andra Barz decided to go on the road to Santiago de Compostela. While the other pilgrims pulled ahead at a fast pace, she discovered a great secret: The magic of walking slow. She made a discovery, which changed her life on a long- run, transformed her and , like- through a worm hole, it catapulted her to a different, throughout happy life.She dropped out of society and found a new, great love..
